Horizon Creations
An open-world medieval story game built on Horizon Engine.
Catania is an open-world medieval story game set in the imaginary kingdom of Catania, a land bordered by rival kingdoms. When a neighboring kingdom attacks a village, a small group of settlers overhear a conversation that hints at a deeper conspiracy to undermine Catania from within. They set out across the kingdom — through forests, mountain passes and fortified towns — to reach the king and warn him before it's too late.
Rain, snow and fog shift in real time, shaping the mood and conditions of the journey across Catania's varied landscapes.
Storms wash out trails and slow travel through muddy fields, while thick fog gives cover for ambushes — or hides watching eyes.
A living world where time of day affects NPC routines, enemy patrols and the atmosphere of every region.
Merchants close their stalls at dusk, patrols tighten after dark, and some paths are only safe — or only open — at certain hours.
Villages, forests, mountain passes and castle towns spread across the kingdom — each holding people, secrets and pieces of the conspiracy.
Stray off the beaten path to find hidden camps, forgotten shrines and travelers whose stories tie back to the conspiracy at court.
A narrative driven by conspiracy, loyalty and choice — uncovering the truth behind the attack and deciding how to confront it.
Dialogue choices shape who trusts you and who turns against you, deciding how the conspiracy ultimately unravels — or succeeds.
Keep in mind that development of Catania is dependant on progress to the Horizon Engine.
